This webcam is located in Palmerston, approximately 15km ESE of Darwin, Australia. The camera faces north towards Melville Island and the famous "Hector" thunderstorm. It was installed in a joint venture between Jason Harris and the Brisbane Storm Chasers. The camera operates 24/7 with images every 1-2 minutes. Images of a night time are exposures of 16 seconds so the camera can and will capture lightning when storms are around.
